man oh man is this semester flying by...
and with every passing day classes are getting easier, the sun is getting hotter and campus is blooming into the beautiful place I love.
the place where people bust out their blankets to save a spot on the front lawn, where bicycles are the chosen alternative (yay us and helping the environment!), where the beautiful people sparkle. it sounds like I'm lying but I assure you I am most certainly NOT.
People really do seem like they're sparkling. I mean it could be that for the most part everyone is well rested (and some of us are even tan!) seeing as Spring Break just passed. Or it could be that it has finally ceased to rain all the live long day. Which by the way, word of advice to any and ALL incoming students: INVEST IN A STURDY PAIR OF RAIN GALOSHES! Because when it rains on Harding's campus-- oh dear does IT RAIN.
On the subject matter of incoming students. I hope that for those of you that are attending Harding in the fall have signed up for Student Impact and for that matter Summer Experience! I met the girls I have lived with for three years now at Summer Experience and I am so glad I did. These girls have played such a significant role in my Harding experience and I don't know what I would do without them. Not that you won't meet amazing people if for whatever reason you can't make it, but I just know that for me it eased a lot of anxiety I had. And it was nice to know that in the fall I would already have people to hang out with and get lost going to classes with. And student impact really is an amazing fun time. Upperclassmen come back early and help you into the dorms. And you disperse into what we call "energy groups." They're at random and you meet other people in your incoming class and you have upperclassmen that show you the ropes and answer any questions you may have. Oh and if you're a transfer you get to hang out with me (!) and this fun californian guy named Andrew (who's actually a goof ball but shhh! i didn't say that!). Andrew and I are in charge of transfers and we're pretty excited about getting to know you guys! SO SIGN UP! RIGHT NOW! Go ahead, you won't regret it I promise you!
Anywho, I better get going. I have a meeting to go to... but you kids have fun out there! ENJOY SPRING!
