Happy Day After Valentine's Day everyone!
Man oh man. Even though I didn't really share the day with a significant other it was still a very nice day overall!
It was nice because I got to spend the night with two of my best girlfriends: Lacy and Jessie. We WERE going to go to Little Rock and eat at a fab little restaurant over by the River Market but then (as usual) we got SO lost!
I don't understand how in the world we do it but EVERY SINGLE TIME we go to LR we get lost. And it was so sad because we could see the River Market but we couldn't GET THERE. Sad. I know!
Anywho we ended up in the sketchiest part of Little Rock imaginable and we pretty much feared for our lives. But God got us through it and we ended up on the road that lead us straight to Carino's. This amazing Italian restaurant! So if you get lost, that's not a bad place to end up. I have video footage of the whole ordeal I wish I could put it on here but i kind of don't know how to. Maybe I'll youTUBE it. Who knows? If I do I'll def let you guys know.
Oh but that's not all: We also missed our movie! But we decided we could see Music and Lyrics anytime.
So we spent the night driving around listening to all of our favorite music and gorging ourselves on completely delectable Italian cuisine. LOVE my life! haha.
And I also got some really nice presents from a friend which really made my night, so that was nice.
All in all. A lovely day.
So I hope everyone out there is doing well. I'm not really keeping up with the only resolution I made this year, which was to keep up with this. So sorry guys! But you see this is why I don't make resolutions. I am a true gemini through and through and I simply cannot keep up with something once I feel obliged. Actually, thats not at all true. So I just lied. I just, well I guess I have no reason. I just forget I guess. Hmm... That's something I need to work on. Maybe, just maybe, if I set aside time like once a week to you know write in here I might remeber because then you know it'll become more like a routine. That's something that's nice about college. You have to do things for you. So therefore, you really learn how you work and how to handle things. In highschool everything is prearranged. You don't really get to decide. But in college, you pick. It's like those Burger King commercials: in college you Have it YOUR Way. Classes when you want. Meals when you want. Sleep when you want. Life when you want. So you learn how to manage your time. When to study, how to study, etc. etc. If I can give you any advice I would say start on all that now. Learn what works for you. Are you a nighttime studier? A middle-of-the-day type? Do you excel if you go to bed early and then ingest all information at the crack of dawn like myself? Trust me, start working on all that stuff now that way when you come to college you can adjust everything else around stuff you know. You'll change of course, but it's better to know a little bit now before you start signing up for 8:AM classes when you really shouldn't be (also like moi).
Just something to think about though.
And while we're on the topic of stuff about life that I really need to do/think about. I should really be working more on my internship stuff.
I'm so confused about where in the world I can find an internship?!?! I mean I KNOW
where I want to go. I KNOW what I want to do with my life but its just a matter
of getting there. I know God has great plans for me and I shouldn't be dismayed
jeremiah 29:11 and all that jazz but I cant help it! I was discussing this with
one of my dear friends-- Brooke Light-- the other day after our class together and I
was just floored to know that she felt the exact same way and yet again when I
talked to another friend she said she felt the same! I guess its true what they
say: if you feel a certain way its most probable that someone else feels the
exact same way. or something along those lines anyway.
but oh golly. what am I going to do with my life? so many unanswered questions.
Feel free to keep me and my internship woes in your prayers! I could really use them!
