Well, I’m not going to lie. Technology officially hates me.
I have the modern day anti-Midas touch.
Every form of technology that comes into contact with my hand pretty much
a) becomes non-existent,
b) refuses to work properly
or c) stops working altogether.
Or even I guess in this situation it doesn't work properly at all!!
I honestly do not understand!
Ok, well let’s try this little blog entry for the umpteenth time shall we?
My goodness, I don’t even remember what I even said in my previous attempts to fill this out…
Hmm, ok well. Here we go, or rather here I go:
Blogs.
I have to tell you for the most part, I’m not a really big fan. In fact the last time I “blogged” was in high school. Back then, livejournal and xanga were ALL THE RAGE. I had a page that my friend designed for me because even back then my technology skills were a little lacking. Sometimes I like to look it up and see the ridiculous things I would write. For the most part, I just used my lj as a means to past the time during study hall or computer class. OR I would use it as a medium to find out all about my current crush. It was the equivalent to the modern man’s facebook. AKA STALKER NET.
Other than that though, I never really enjoyed the concept of leaving what I feel is such a sacred part of myself [my thoughts] on such a vulnerable medium. I mean anyone could be reading this right now. And I have no way of controlling the impact my words have. It’s all a matter of intent vs. impact. My intentions may be one thing but the impact of my thoughts, my words, my actions… they are entirely different.
And I guess that’s why I’ve always been a little hesitant to lay it all out there for the whole world to see. Nonetheless, I am going to make it my goal this semester to keep up with this, to make this an outlet for my thoughts, my dreams, my frustrations. I sincerely hope that someone out there is listening. In the meantime, audience or no audience, I can definitely say that it’s going to be another great year. Another year that, unfortunately, flies by way too quickly…
